CPAR’s Putting Farmers First program was the perfect opportunity to promote a meaningful cause for global food security and sustainable agriculture.

Provided with amazing photography from affected farming areas of Malawi, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda; these images were used to amplify the message through fullscreen backdrops to the website. The entire site and blog is run on WordPress as a CMS platform utilising social media integration methods.

What sets Over the Rainbow apart is a 30 year relationship between owner Joel Carman and an array of established and trending brands, along with a healthy obsession for denim. As a result, Rainbow stock the widest range of brands and denim in one location, almost impossible for other retailers.

Through Dog & Pony Studios, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Rainbow for over 5 years first-hand designing and building the website, fashion blog and various marketing efforts.

To tie into Samsung’s 3D TV café campaign, the client required a “café-themed” logo to suit the brand (see left), along with a microsite, used to signup visitors for a chance to win a free 3D TV.

Under tight time restrictions and with concurrent deadlines, I was responsible for creating the café-themed logo, along with constructing both the design and code for the microsite’s launch.

I was responsible for managing a production team in the execution of design, development and the overall user-experience for the new Face of Giving donation and community-based charity website for CPAR.

A critical step in the production process was to clearly wireframe all aspects of the donation process, along with donation-groups and individual user-profiles. From here, I worked closely with the developers to ensure payment processing and profile account security along with developing a clear and intuitive CMS for the client.

I worked closely with Forefactor’s owner, Reneé Colyer, to design and build version two of Forefactor’s online presence. Reneé was looking to capture the dynamic feel of the version-one website, which was built using elegant Flash animations and fullscreen photography. At the same time, the site required a complete rebuild using WordPress as a CMS and web-standards HTML/CSS code for SEO and speed optimisation.

The new website features large imagery that matches the unique deep green of the Forefactor brand and cross-browser compatibility for IE6 Financial Sector users.

Dog & Pony Studios (DPS) headed-up a rebranding and marketing exercise to refresh and simplify messaging for CGS. I was responsible for designing and building, from initial concepts and wireframes, through to hand coding and testing, every aspect of the new website for CGS.

The new website resulted in a simplified, user-centric experience that utilises the latest web technologies while passing strict internal security guidelines set by S&P.

Friend and design colleague Max Mallinick was contracted to give Applause Audio’s website a fresh look and user experience. The resulting design showcases a modular product layout with a stylistic edge.

My job was to code and build the website, paying special attention to the design details, and integrating a CMS simple enough for non-web-savvy users to administer.

The popular WordPress framework was used as the base to build and customise a bulletproof simple CMS.

As part of the team at Dog & Pony Studios, we were responsible for producing a deluxe branding experience for Airstart, who pride themselves on reliability and speedy delivery of parts.

I was responsible for producing much of FinancialLine’s design collateral, including full production of the corporate website, monthly newsletters, corporate stationary and advertising materials for local and national accounts.

Through a close working relationship with Associate Director Jita Sarai, we were able to successfully execute multiple campaigns under tight deadlines.

This was a pet-project for a great band allowing us to build a microsite showcasing some of Meinblues’s latest tracks. At one of the band’s rehearsals I shot photos that were eventually used across the site.

Built into the site was an audio player for users to listen to the latest tracks while checking out the newest photos on a fullscreen background.
